Successfully passed the on-site inspection and acceptance of the quality management standards for pig slaughtering

From September 26th to 27th, our bureau organized an on-site inspection for the quality management standards of pig slaughtering at two ministerial-level demonstration sites for standardized pig slaughtering construction: Dongtai COFCO Jiajiakang (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd. and Dongtai Qianxifu Frozen Food Co., Ltd. The inspection team was composed of three experts from the agricultural and rural bureaus of Suzhou, Huai'an, and Zhenjiang, selected from the provincial expert pool for slaughtering quality management. The Veterinary Bureau of the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs dispatched observers to guide the entire inspection process.
At the inspection sites of the two companies, the inspection team conducted item-by-item verification and scoring against the "Inspection Standards for Quality Management of Pig Slaughtering" by reviewing documents and asking questions on-site. The inspection team fully affirmed the work achievements of Qianxi Fu and COFCO in standardizing the quality management of pig slaughtering, and believed that the companies met the implementation requirements of the "Quality Management Standards for Pig Slaughtering" issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs in terms of hardware, software, and process management. The inspection team unanimously assessed that both companies passed the inspection. The inspection team also pointed out deficiencies in cleaning and disinfection, meat quality inspection, and "one machine, one file" management. The two companies will immediately carry out rectification as required.
Since the release of the "Quality Management Standards for Pig Slaughtering" in September last year, our bureau has organized county (city, district) management personnel and the heads of 16 slaughtering enterprises to participate in ministerial and provincial-level video and offline trainings. In May, we held a city-wide promotion meeting for the implementation of the "Quality Management Standards for Pig Slaughtering", clarifying the work plan and completing the acceptance inspection of all pig slaughtering enterprises in four batches. We also explained the "Quality Management Standards for Pig Slaughtering" in combination with the actual situation of enterprises in our city. This acceptance inspection of the "Standards" is the first batch for our city, and the second batch will be carried out for seven enterprises including Dafeng Fengyu before the end of the year as planned. The implementation of the "Quality Management Standards for Pig Slaughtering" has further promoted the upgrading of our city's pig slaughtering industry through strengthening the quality management of the entire process from the entry of pigs into the factory to the delivery of products, moving towards standardization and large-scale development.
